Almost two-thirds (62%) of students and graduates in the UK experience sexual violence at university. Providing specialised, independent support to these students is a vital part of the university’s welfare offering.

Avanti is an academy trust serving a family of 12 schools in the UK. They came to us having already begun their journey towards becoming a trauma-informed community. A recent Ofsted report highlighted opportunities to develop their safeguarding policies and procedures to help students feel more safe.

Working with NHS England to review Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) in the east of England. Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed research to make recommendations that will improve survivor care and tackle access inequalities.

We worked with the team at @thurrockcouncil to develop understand of and help prevent sexual violence and abuse and create a safer, more supportive community. In on-demand, e-learning modules, participants explored definitions of sexual violence, consent and legislation and how to respond to disclosures of sexual violence.

Working in partnership with CARA Essex and young survivors of sexual violence, we produced a series of animated videos to help teachers and education professionals understand the impact of sexual violence on children and young people.
