Introduction to Activism E-Learning Course
This e-learning aims to provide you with an introduction to activism. In this workshop, we will use a variety of examples of activism/campaigning and change-making work, which may include sensitive topics such as sexual violence.

Online Course Learning Objectives
Be able to define activism and campaigning work
- Understand the differences in definitions of activism, campaigning and change making.
- Understand how different language shapes the narrative around change making work.
Identify your motivation for creating change
- Explore where passion for change making might start, or come from, drawing on personal and/or lived experience.
Understand the various routes activism and change-making can take
- Understand the differences in definitions of activism, campaigning and change making.

Feel confident to take the next steps in your activism journey
- Identify a variety of campaigning tools
- Understand the pros and cons of each method
- Be able to strategically apply a method to a cause
Have a better understanding of key terms such as privilege and intersectionality

- Be equipped with tools/information to take activism work beyond the workshop
Gain a renewed perspective on activism and campaigning
- Recognise points where you can create significant change

Thank you again for today’s training. I can’t remember the last time I came out of training so inspired and ready for action. So often training is death by PowerPoint and with nothing to take away other than worry and concern that you aren’t able to do something. This was so far from that. On the train, I planned two staff training sessions and worked out a program for our Year class and an individual in particular. Never done that before after training. Both sessions were fantastic.
