Sexual Harassment In The Workplace Training Course
The aim of this half-day course is to support you to be able to recognise instances of sexual harassment in your workplace, to know how to respond when incidents do occur, and to know some ways you can prevent sexual harassment from happening in your workplace.

Course Learning Objectives
In January 2020, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) published a document entitled ‘Sexual Harassment and Harassment at Work – Technical Guidance’, which advises that all employers and organisations, no matter their size or their number of employees, should offer training on sexual harassment that covers:
- types of harassment and victimisation
- how to handle complaints of harassment
- what to do if they experience harassment
ICENA provides a range of courses on sexual harassment in the workplace which can be tailored to your specific sector and/or business types and to the specific needs of participants according to their job roles.
By the end of this of this session you will:
- Understand the social context of sexual harassment.
- Understand how sexual harassment is covered in law.
- Be able to identify instances of harassment and victimisation.
- Know how to respond to instances of sexual harassment.
- Understand who is responsible for instances of harassment.
- Understand the importance of professional boundaries in preventing sexual harassment.
- Begin to think about ways harassment could be prevented in your workplace.

Thank you again for today’s training. I can’t remember the last time I came out of training so inspired and ready for action. So often training is death by PowerPoint and with nothing to take away other than worry and concern that you aren’t able to do something. This was so far from that. On the train, I planned two staff training sessions and worked out a program for our Year class and an individual in particular. Never done that before after training. Both sessions were fantastic.
