Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Framework

A practical, values-led framework to help your team design and deliver training that's accessible, trauma-aware and inclusive.

EDI Framework: Inclusive Training Design & Delivery

Creating truly inclusive learning spaces requires more than good intentions. It requires confidence, consistency and a clear framework that guides practice. ICENA’s Eqaulity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Framework has been developed as a practical, values‑led tool to help organisations design and deliver training that is accessible, trauma‑aware and welcoming for all.

Grounded in lived experience, facilitation expertise and current best practice, the framework offers a structured approach to shaping training content, delivery methods and classroom culture. It can support any organisation that wants to strengthen its internal training provision, particularly those with teams who are new to facilitation or who want to embed inclusivity more intentionally across their learning programmes.

What this training covers

In this half‑day workshop, our team guides your staff through the EDI Framework and explores what inclusive and empowering learning environments look and feel like. This workshop is interactive, reflective and tailored to your organisational context, giving your team the tools to apply the framework immediately. The session includes:

  • An introduction to the principles behind the ICENA EDI Framework

  • Practical actions that make training safer and more inclusive

  • Opportunities to apply the framework to real training scenarios

  • Space to identify strengths, gaps and opportunities for improvement

  • Support in building confidence to facilitate groups with diverse needs and lived experiences

Who is this for

  • In‑house trainers and facilitators
  • Learning and development teams
  • Staff involved in induction or specialist training
  • Organisations looking to strengthen EDI within their internal programmes

Whether your team has years of experience or is new to facilitation, the framework provides a clear and supportive structure that promotes consistency and confidence.
